Custom Order Inquiry

Initial Consultation
Begin your custom order journey by filling out our Custom Order Inquiry Form on our website or contacting us directly. During this consultation, we’ll discuss your ideas, preferences, budget, and any specific requirements you have for your custom piece.
Design Concept & Inspiration
You are encouraged to provide inspiration images, sketches, or detailed descriptions to help us understand your vision. We will use this information to create a preliminary design concept.
Budget Considerations
Please communicate your budget clearly during the initial consultation. We will try to work within your budget to propose design options that align with your vision.

Design Process

Design Proposal

After the initial consultation, we will create a Design Proposal, which includes sketches, digital renderings, material options, and an estimated cost breakdown. The proposal will detail all aspects of the design, including the type of materials, gemstones, and any personalization features.

Design Revisions

We offer up to two complimentary design revisions to refine the initial concept based on your feedback. Additional revisions will incur a fee of $50 per revision. This ensures that our design team is fairly compensated for the time and expertise required.

Final Design Approval

A Final Design Proof will be sent for your approval before production begins. This proof is your opportunity to review every detail, including dimensions, materials, and engravings. Once you approve the final design, no further changes can be made without additional costs.

Material Sourcing

We source high-quality materials for your custom piece. If specific materials (e.g., rare gemstones) are required, sourcing time may extend the production timeline. We will communicate any delays related to material sourcing upfront.

Pricing and Payment

Payment Requirements

As all our pieces are made to order, we require the total estimated cost of your custom piece to be paid in full before production begins. This payment covers the cost of materials, labor, and ensures that your custom piece can be crafted without delays.

Non-Refundable Payment

Please note that the full payment is non-refundable once production has commenced, as each piece is uniquely created based on your specific design and preferences.

Additional Design Revisions

If additional design revisions beyond the first two complimentary revisions are requested, a fee of $50 per revision will apply. These charges will be added to the total cost, which must be paid in full before production begins.

Post-Production Changes

If changes are requested after the piece has been produced, the adjustments will incur production cost plus a design revision fee totaling $250 USD or above based on the design. This fee covers the cost of making any necessary modifications to the finished piece or having to reproduce a part or the entire piece.

We accept various payment methods, payment is required to be made in full and on time to avoid any delays in production.

Production and Delivery

Production Timeline

Custom orders typically take approximately 8 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the design and material availability. We will provide an estimated timeline during the design phase. Please note that production will only begin after the Final Design Proof is approved and the deposit is received.

Rush Orders

If you require expedited production, rush orders may be available for an additional fee. Please inquire about availability and pricing during your initial consultation. Rush orders are subject to material availability and cannot always be guaranteed.

Quality Control

Each custom piece undergoes a thorough quality control process before it is shipped. This includes verifying the accuracy of the design, checking for material defects, and ensuring that all personalization details are correct.

Shipping and Delivery

Once your custom piece is completed and the final payment is received, we will ship your order. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been dispatched. Shipping times may vary based on your location. All shipments are fully insured for the value of the piece.

International Orders

We can ship internationally upon request. Please note that international customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or fees imposed by their country. These charges are not included in the shipping cost and must be paid by the recipient.

Signature Requirement

For security purposes, all shipments require a signature upon delivery. If you will not be available to sign for the package, please contact us to make alternative arrangements.

Design Revisions Post-Production

Post-Production Adjustments

As noted in our payment section, if changes are requested after the piece has been produced, these will incur a production cost plus a design revision fee totaling $250 or more based on the design. This ensures we can make any necessary modifications to your finished piece with the same level of care and craftsmanship.

Repairs and Adjustments

For any non-design-related adjustments or repairs needed after delivery, please contact us for an assessment. We will provide a quote based on the nature of the work required, shipping costs back to us will be passed to the customer.

Returns, Cancellations, and Refunds

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the personalized nature of custom orders, all custom pieces are non-returnable and non-refundable once the Final Design Proof is approved and production has begun.

Cancellations Before Production

If you wish to cancel your custom order before production begins, please contact us immediately. While the initial deposit is non-refundable, any additional payments made may be refunded at our discretion, depending on the stage of the design process.

Cancellations After Production Begins

If production has already begun, cancellations are not possible. The deposit and any payments made are non-refundable, as they cover the costs of materials and labor.

Warranty and Care

Warranty

We offer a two-year warranty on all custom pieces against manufacturing defects. This warranty covers issues such as loose stones, clasps, or settings. The warranty does not cover damage caused by wear and tear, accidents, or improper care.

Care Instructions

To ensure the longevity of your custom piece, we provide detailed care instructions with each order. Please follow these instructions carefully to maintain the beauty and integrity of your jewelry.

Repair Services

After the warranty period, we offer repair services for an additional fee. Please contact us to discuss the nature of the repair and receive a quote.

Customer Satisfaction and Dispute Resolution

Our Commitment

We are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with your custom piece. If you have any concerns or are not fully satisfied with the final product, please reach out to us within 7 days of receiving your order, and we will work with you to address your concerns.

Dispute Resolution

In the unlikely event that a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the issue amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled in accordance with the laws of New York State.

Intellectual Property and Privacy

Design Ownership

All custom designs created by Modern Mangal remain the intellectual property of Modern Mangal. We reserve the right to reproduce the design for other clients unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Custom designs may also be used in our marketing materials unless you specifically request otherwise.

Customer Privacy

We respect your privacy and will not share images or details of your custom piece without your permission. If you are comfortable with us showcasing your piece on our website or social media, please let us know. We also ensure that any personal information provided during the ordering process is kept confidential and secure.
