Returns

Eligibility

We accept returns on signature collection pieces within 14 days of delivery. To qualify, pieces must be unworn with original tags intact, presented in their original packaging (including box, pouch, and documentation), and in pristine condition.

Return requests must be initiated within 14 days of delivery. Beyond this window, all purchases are considered final.

The following are not eligible for return:

  • Bespoke commissions
  • Personalized or engraved pieces
  • Items showing any signs of wear
  • Pieces altered by external jewelers
  • Final sale items (as noted at time of purchase)

The Return Process

To begin a return, please submit a request through your order page, our Contact Us form, or email hello@modernmangal.com within 14 days with your order number. We'll provide a prepaid return label within 2 business days.

Please ensure your piece is carefully packaged in all original materials and dropped off at a staffed shipping location (not a drop box). Retain your shipping receipt as proof of delivery, and ship within 7 days of receiving authorization.

Please note: Missing packaging or documentation will incur an additional $100 fee. Failure to follow return shipping protocols may void insurance coverage and affect your refund eligibility.

Refund Timeline

Returns are inspected within 7 business days of receipt. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to your original payment method.

Exchanges

Your First Exchange: Complimentary

We're pleased to cover all shipping—both ways—for your first exchange, whether you're seeking a different size, style, or piece entirely. Subsequent exchanges are $40.

The Exchange Process

Contact us within 14 days of delivery with your preferred alternative. We'll confirm availability, provide a return label, and dispatch your new piece once we've received the original. All exchanges are subject to availability and must meet the same pristine condition requirements as returns.

Exchange Pricing

  • If your new selection is priced higher, you'll simply cover the difference
  • If your new selection is priced lower, we'll refund the difference accordingly
  • Current promotional offers may be honored if they align with your original purchase terms. Previous promotions that have expired or exceeded current offers cannot be retroactively applied

Order Modifications

Each piece begins its journey through our atelier within one business day of your order. Should you need to adjust any details—size, metal, design elements, or delivery address—please contact us immediately.

While we'll make every effort to accommodate your request, a $25 modification fee applies, plus any applicable price differences. Please note that changes cannot be guaranteed once production has commenced.

Cancellations

As each piece is crafted to order, production begins promptly after purchase.

Within 24 Hours: $75 cancellation fee. We can typically halt production at this stage. Refunds process within 7-10 business days.

After 24 Hours (Pre-Shipment): $200 cancellation fee reflects committed materials and production progress. Refunds process within 7-10 business days.

After Shipment: Standard return policy applies; cancellations are no longer available.

Bespoke Design Commissions

Design Retainer: $500 (Non-Refundable)

When you commission a bespoke piece, your $500 design retainer secures dedicated consultation time, CAD renderings, unlimited design revisions, and comprehensive project management throughout the creative process.

This retainer is non-refundable as it compensates our design team for their expertise and time investment, regardless of whether you proceed to production.

Should you choose not to move forward after design completion, the $500 retainer is forfeited. Upon design approval, the remaining balance is collected in full before production begins.

Please note: Bespoke pieces that enter production are considered final and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded, as they are created exclusively to your specifications.

Production Timeline: Bespoke commissions require approximately 6-8 weeks following design approval.

Expedited Service

Expedited Production & Delivery: $250

For pieces needed within a shorter timeframe, we offer expedited service with delivery within 10 business days.

Please note: Ready-to-ship pieces are already prepared for immediate dispatch and will ship within 2 business days of order placement. These items are not eligible for expedited service.

Quality Assurance

Damaged or Defective Pieces

In the rare event your piece arrives damaged or with a defect, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs of the item, its packaging, and the shipping container. We'll resolve this immediately.

Delivery Matters

All orders require signature confirmation and are fully insured. Should your tracking indicate delivery but you haven't received your package, please notify us within 48 hours. We'll coordinate with the carrier to investigate and resolve the matter.

International Orders

International purchases are considered final due to the complexities of customs, duties, and international shipping regulations. We do not accept returns or exchanges on international orders.

Exception: If your piece arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours with photographs. We'll work with you personally to ensure resolution.

We strongly encourage our international clients to reach out with any sizing or product inquiries prior to purchase.

Production Timelines

  • Signature pieces: Production begins one business day after order placement; approximately 3-4 weeks to completion
  • Ready-to-ship pieces: Dispatch within 2 business days of order placement
  • Bespoke commissions: Approximately 6-8 weeks following design approval
  • Expedited service: Delivery within 10 business days (additional $250)

These timelines are approximate and may vary based on design intricacy and material availability.

If Your Return is Lost in Transit

When you've followed all proper procedures and retained your receipt, your return is fully insured. We'll coordinate with the carrier to locate your package and file any necessary claims. You will not be held responsible for loss when you have proof of compliance with all shipping requirements.

This policy should be read in conjunction with our Terms of Service. By placing an order with Modern Mangal, you acknowledge and agree to both this Return & Exchange Policy and our Terms of Service.
