Modern Mangal Muse Program Terms and Conditions
Introduction
The Modern Mangal Muse Program is a selective partnership with creators who are redefining how heritage jewelry lives in the modern world. These terms set the general framework that applies to every Muse. By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to them.
The specifics of your partnership — the piece, what you create, and how you are compensated — are set out in your Individual Acceptance Agreement, which you receive if you are accepted into the Program.
Eligibility
You are eligible to apply if you are at least 18 years old, maintain a publicly accessible social media presence, and reside in a jurisdiction where participation in creator partnership programs is permitted by law.
Application and Acceptance
To be considered for the Program, submit the Muse Program interest form. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. Modern Mangal reviews every application personally and selects each Muse intentionally.
If your application moves forward, the next steps depend on the nature of your partnership. Some partnerships proceed directly to an Individual Acceptance Agreement. Others include an additional step — a more detailed application, a call with our team, or both — before the Agreement is prepared. We will let you know which path applies to you and what to expect next.
Modern Mangal reserves the right to accept or decline any application at its sole discretion and without providing reasons.
Individual Acceptance Agreement
Every accepted Muse receives an Individual Acceptance Agreement. That Agreement defines the specifics of your participation, including whether you purchase or receive your piece, the content you commit to creating, the timeline, and any compensation — whether in the form of content fees, codes, commissions, creative fees, a gifted piece, or a combination. Where these terms conflict with your Individual Acceptance Agreement, the Agreement controls.
Content Standards
Content you create in connection with the Program must be original, authentic, and on-brand. It must also reflect Modern Mangal's values — innovation, tradition, craftsmanship, and transparency. You agree not to create or share any content that:
- is defamatory or misleading about Modern Mangal, our products, our team, or our partners;
- promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination;
- is sexually explicit, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate; or
- infringes on any intellectual property, privacy, or other third-party rights.
Modern Mangal may request the removal of any content that does not meet these standards or is detrimental to the brand.
Intellectual Property
By participating in the Program, you grant Modern Mangal a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works from any content you produce in connection with the Program. This license is limited to content that features Modern Mangal or references the Program, and covers all media now known or later developed.
You may use the Modern Mangal name, logo, and trademarks solely to promote our products in connection with the Program. Do not modify our trademarks, and do not use them in any way that reflects negatively on the brand.
Confidentiality
You may learn things about Modern Mangal — products in development, brand strategy, artisan relationships, customer information — that are not public. Keep them that way. This obligation continues after your participation ends.
Termination and Withdrawal
Modern Mangal may end your participation in the Program at any time, with or without cause, including for breach of these terms or conduct inconsistent with the brand. You may withdraw at any time by providing written notice. On termination or withdrawal, verified compensation earned up to that point is paid out per your Individual Acceptance Agreement, and the license granted under Intellectual Property above survives.
Indemnification and Liability
You agree to indemnify and defend Modern Mangal, our affiliates, and our team against any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your participation in the Program or from any breach of these terms.
Modern Mangal is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation. Our total liability to you under the Program is limited to the compensation you received under your Individual Acceptance Agreement in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of these terms or the Program will be resolved through binding arbitration in New York, conducted in English under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
Changes to These Terms
Modern Mangal may update these terms. If we do, we will tell you. Continued participation after notice means you accept the updated terms.
Entire Agreement
These terms, together with your Individual Acceptance Agreement, are the complete agreement between you and Modern Mangal regarding the Program. Where they conflict, your Individual Acceptance Agreement controls. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, written or oral, relating to the Program.
By applying to or participating in the Modern Mangal Muse Program, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.
