All items offered for sale on the Site are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities, reject orders, or discontinue items without prior notice, even after you have placed an order. All prices are shown in U.S. dollars, and applicable taxes and other charges, if any, are additional. Prices are subject to change without notice.

If an item you are interested in purchasing is not listed on the Site or is marked as "Discover," it may not be available for ordering online but may be available at our central warehouse or in our retail stores. Taxes

Delivery Schedule

Deliveries are made on business days, Monday through Friday. Please note that we do not process or deliver orders on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays. If you place an order on a weekend or public holiday, it will be processed on the next business day.

Missed Deliveries

If you are not present at the time of delivery, the carrier will typically make a second delivery attempt. If you are also absent during this second attempt, the package will be returned to Modern Mangal. In such cases, your order will be canceled, and a refund will be issued, less any applicable fees. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

At Modern Mangal, we strive to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. However, if you need to return an item, we have outlined a comprehensive return, exchange, and refund policy to assist you. Please read the following carefully to ensure a smooth and efficient return process.

Eligibility for Returns and Exchanges

Items purchased on the Modern Mangal website may be returned within fourteen (14) days of the delivery date, provided they meet the following criteria:

Condition: The item must be in its original, unused condition, including all original packaging, accessories, certificates of authenticity, and any related materials.
Documentation: The return must be accompanied by the original sales receipt.
Exclusions: Personalized or custom-made items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

Please note that refunds will only be issued in the original currency of purchase. If you have ordered multiple items or received them in separate shipments, the 14-day return period begins when you, or a third party you designate (other than the carrier), take physical possession of the final item.

Please note that all refunds for online purchases will be issued to the original form of payment. The right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for orders relating to:

the provision of items produced in accordance with your’s specifications or that are clearly personalized;
the provision of items that have been opened by you following delivery and which cannot be returned for reasons related to health or hygiene.

In any case, you must return the delivered items in their original packaging, complete (boxes, certificate of authenticity, accessories, protection, labels, booklets, etc.) and accompanied by the return form, duly completed, as well as a copy of the invoice. Items returned incomplete, worn, damaged, deteriorated, dirty or in any other condition that could reasonably suggest that they have been used or worn, will be neither refunded nor exchanged and will be sent back.

Initiating Your Return: A Step-by-Step Guide

Request a Return Authorization

Prepare Your Package

Gather all original packaging, including the jewelry, diamond certificates, and return packing slip.
Securely place your jewelry in its original box and then place the box inside a shipping box.

Ship Your Return

Drop off your package at your nearest FedEx location—please do not use drop boxes.
Keep your receipt for insurance purposes to ensure your package is properly tracked.

Return Shipping Fee

A $55 shipping fee will be charged for all returns, which will be deducted from your refund amount. This fee covers the cost of securely shipping the item back to Modern Mangal.

Return Requirements

To process your return, please ensure that all items, including the mangalsutra, diamond certificate, and original packaging, are returned in the same condition as they were sent to you. Adhering to the following return instructions is essential to avoid additional deductions:

Use the provided internal box label and FedEx shipping label.
Place all items, including the jewelry, packaging, and diamond certification, into the small brown Modern Mangal mailer box.
Attach the first page of the label to the FedEx box in which the shipment arrived.
Attach the second page of the label to the brown mailer box containing the item.
Ensure that both the inner and outer boxes are securely taped shut.

Note: If the outer FedEx box is damaged, you may bring the sealed inner box (with the second page label attached) to FedEx, request one of their small boxes, seal it, and then attach the first page of the label to the new box.

Return Deduction Policy

It is crucial to follow the return instructions and packaging guidelines carefully. If any part of the original packaging is missing or damaged, or if the return instructions are not followed correctly, resulting in the voiding of insurance on the attached shipping label, a $100 deduction will be applied to your refund without prior notification.

Processing Your Return

Once your return is received, it will undergo a thorough inspection by our quality control team to ensure that all conditions are met. If the return is approved, we will process your refund or exchange as requested:

Refunds: Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment, minus the $55 return shipping fee and any applicable deductions for missing or damaged packaging. Please allow up to three (3) weeks for the processing of your return.
Exchanges: If you requested an exchange, the new item will be shipped to you once the returned item has been approved.

Please note that all refunds and exchanges are subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

Important Information for Gift Recipients

Gift recipients may exchange items but are not eligible for refunds. If you wish to exchange a gift, please contact our customer service team to discuss your options.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:

Items produced according to your specifications or that are clearly personalized.
Items that have been opened or used after delivery and cannot be returned for reasons related to health or hygiene.

Specific Conditions for Exchanges

In addition to the return policy outlined above, Modern Mangal offers the opportunity to exchange delivered items under specific terms and conditions. You may request an exchange within fourteen (14) days of the delivery date, with the exception of special-order or personalized items, which are not eligible for exchange. Exchanges are limited to changes in the size of the item or the color of the gold. It is not possible to exchange the item for a different product entirely.

To initiate an exchange, please contact Modern Mangal’s customer service team at support@modernmangal.com or use the “Contact” section available on our website. Upon receiving your returned item, our quality control team will thoroughly inspect the item to ensure it is in perfect condition.

The item must be accompanied by the original invoice and the certificate of authenticity issued at the time of purchase. If your returned item meets all the required conditions, Modern Mangal will process your exchange as soon as possible.

Please note that shipping costs for exchanges, including the cost of shipping the item back to us and the cost of shipping the new item to you, will be the responsibility of the customer. Items returned for exchange that are incomplete, worn, damaged, deteriorated, dirty, missing the security label, or in any condition that suggests they have been used or worn will not be eligible for exchange and will be returned to you.

If you received the item as a gift, the option to exchange it may be exercised by the gift recipient. However, no refund will be issued in cases where there is a price difference between the exchanged items. Modern Mangal reserves the right to refuse an exchange after two successive exchange requests for the same item. Additionally, any delivery costs paid during the original purchase will not be refunded.

Errors and Accuracy

At Modern Mangal, we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information on our Site. In the event of an error, we reserve the right to correct it and revise your order accordingly, which may include charging the correct price or canceling your order and issuing a refund.

If the correct price of an item you purchase through the Site is lower than the stated price, we will, at our discretion, charge you the lower amount when your order is shipped. If the correct price is higher than the stated price, we will contact you for instructions before shipping. If we are unable to reach you within fifteen (15) days, we will cancel your order and notify you of the cancellation.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Your use of items purchased through the Site is at your sole risk. All items are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Modern Mangal and its officers, directors, agents, partners, and employees (collectively, the “Modern Mangal Parties”) will not be liable to you under any theory of liability—whether based in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise—for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages or lost profits that may arise from or in connection with these Terms of Sale or the use of, or inability to use, any items purchased through the Site. This includes any damages caused by or resulting from your reliance on any information or items obtained from us, whether or not Modern Mangal or any other Modern Mangal Party has been advised of the possibility of such losses.

You agree that, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the total liability of the Modern Mangal Parties in connection with items purchased through the Site and these Terms of Sale will not exceed the amount you actually paid to Modern Mangal for the items purchased.

These limitations of liability do not apply to personal injury or property damage directly caused by items purchased from us through the Site or to any liability arising from gross negligence, fraud, or intentional misconduct by the Modern Mangal Parties, or any other matters in which liability cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Dispute Resolution; Binding Arbitration

ANY DISPUTE RELATING TO THESE TERMS OF SALE, YOUR PURCHASE OF AN ITEM THROUGH THE SITE OR ITEMS PURCHASED FROM US WILL BE SUBMITTED TO CONFIDENTIAL ARBITRATION IN NEW YORK, NEW YORK. ANY ARBITRATION UNDER THESE TERMS OF SALE WILL BE CONDUCTED UNDER THE PREVAILING RULES OF THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION.

THESE RULES ARE DIFFERENT FROM THOSE FOUND IN A COURT BECAUSE, AMONG OTHER REASONS, THERE IS NO JUDGE OR JURY, AND REVIEW IS LIMITED. AN ARBITRATOR CAN AWARD THE SAME DAMAGES AND RELIEF, HOWEVER, AND MUST HONOR THE SAME LIMITATIONS STATED IN THESE TERMS OF SALE AS A COURT WOULD.

THE ARBITRATOR'S AWARD SHALL BE BINDING AND MAY BE ENTERED AS A JUDGMENT IN ANY COURT OF COMPETENT JURISDICTION. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. ALL ARBITRATIONS SHALL PROCEED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. THE ARBITRATOR IS EMPOWERED TO RESOLVE THE DISPUTE WITH THE SAME REMEDIES AVAILABLE IN COURT, HOWEVER, ANY RELIEF MUST BE INDIVIDUALIZED TO YOU AND WILL NOT AFFECT ANY OTHER CUSTOMER.

YOU AND MODERN MANGAL AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER IN ARBITRATION ONLY IN YOUR OR THEIR RESPECTIVE INDIVIDUAL CAPACITIES AND IN SO DOING YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY, TO ASSERT OR PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS ACTION ARBITRATION (EITHER AS A NAMED-PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER), AND TO ASSERT OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY JOINT OR CONSOLIDATED LAWSUIT OR JOINT OR CONSOLIDATED ARBITRATION OF ANY KIND.

Governing Law

These Terms of Sale and your purchase of items through the Modern Mangal website will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. By using this Site and making a purchase, you irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal and state courts located in New York, New York for any dispute related to these Terms of Sale or your purchase of an item through the Site that is not subject to arbitration under these Terms of Sale.

Severability

If any provision or part of a provision in these Terms of Sale is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that specific provision or part will be deemed severable from the rest of the Terms of Sale. The validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected and will remain in full force and effect.
