The Mangalya Collection · South Indian thaalis
Out of the locker
Mangalya, Sanskrit for auspicious
Ways to wear it
Her grandmother's thaali lives in a bank locker, heavy and precious, taken out only for weddings. Hers goes to work. Mangalya keeps the shapes South Indian families have tied for generations, the M-shaped pendant, the gold coins, the sacred symbols, and makes them in 18K gold and diamonds light enough for a weekday. She wears it to the office, to the gym and to her cousin's wedding, where her grandmother notices it first. Mangalya means auspicious, and some blessings are meant to be worn, not kept.

We can change the inscription to honor your family's tradition or your partner's, such as a Tulsi, Namam or Lakshmi. Or make it personal to you both, with initials, a date or a symbol that means something to you, for a more modern thaali.
We can also adjust the chain length, make it in a different gold purity or in two tones, switch to natural diamonds, lab-grown diamonds or gemstones, and add accent stones or hidden birthstones, all on request.
Have another idea? We can likely bring it to life.
