Love this piece it’s exactly what I wanted!! 0.25 ct size is perfect for daily wear and for stacking with other pieces. Chain is dainty but strong enough to not worry about. Black beads are subtle but can still be seen. Cute packaging was the cherry on top!!
I like the modern design and it fits what i wanted except for the thickness. It is thinner than I expected. Most of the cost seems associated with the design considering the weight of the gold in this thaali/ mangalsutra.
My mangalsutra is everything I could have dreamed of and more! The design is simple and beautiful which is perfect for everyday wear for me. I've worn it constantly since it was delivered and it still sparkles exactly the same as the day it came out of the box. I've been complimented on it endlessly and the 1 carat diamond is definitely the star of the show. It catches everyone's eye who notices it around my neck. I've never been so happy with a jewelry purchase in my life aside from my engagement ring. Manufacturing and shipping took less time than expected and the delivery was flawless. The details, even down to the packing box and the light up jewelry box the necklace came in elevated the experience

My journey with Modern Managal started on TikTok before their website officially launched. At the beginning of 2024, I saw a video on my FYP of the most gorgeous sets of single diamond necklaces and favorited the post because I really liked the necklaces. Not long after, I saw another post of a woman explaining her passion for finding the perfect mangasulutra that was modern and fit her unique style for her own wedding. Everything that she mentioned in her video spoke directly to me because I was also looking for a non-traditional mangalsutra that blended elegance, femininity, and culture. I remember sending my fiance her video and telling him, I only wanted a mangalsutra that looked like hers. He loved her design and said that if she was not selling them before the wedding then he would look into finding a jeweler to custom make it for me. I was so excited to see all of the content that the Modern Mangal page was putting out with designs and the customizations were exactly what I dreamt of! I reached out on their IG page to confirm the main ideas I wanted out of a mangalsutra which was that the chain was adjustable to be a choker because my everyday necklaces are all around 14in and the wonderful owner not only reassured me that the necklaces were all adjustable but she kindly offered me a discount for which I was soo grateful for and then my fiance placed the order online! Initially, I was a little nervous ordering such an important piece of jewelry not only from online but from a new business, which I had not seen reviews from yet. I felt so connected with Modern Mangal's mission that I trusted that their jewelry would be exactly what I wanted and that it would arrive on time. I placed my order in October of 2024 and my wedding was in December of 2024. Not only did the owner reassure me and deliver my mangasultra before my wedding but when we reached out to track our order, she was quick to respond and answered any questions that we had. When trusting someone to deliver a luxury product and a wedding item, it is so crucial that strong communication is kept between the customer and the owner, and I can fully support Modern Managal because I fully trust the owner. My fiancé received the package and he was completely blown away by the details and care of the packaging! He had Facetimed me to look at the necklace and we were both so in-love with the necklace! It looked even better in person and the quality was nothing short of excellence. The chain was a beautiful 18k gold, it was thick enough not to be fragile but not too thick to make it chunky. The diamond was stunning! and the beads were crafted with longevity and tradition in mind. I wore my mangalsutra at my reception and it complemented my reception jewelry so well.
